Swami Atmapriyananda

Swami Atmapriyananda is the Vice Chancellor (Executive Head) of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University, a multi-campus University trying to actualize Swami Vivekananda’s educational vision. Swami Atmapriyananda received his Ph.D. from the University of Madras, India, in Theoretical Physics for his work in elementary particle theory and has a number of research publications in reputed international journals. Inspired by the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda ideology,
he joined the Ramakrishna Order of monks in 1978. As a monk and an educationist, his present interests are: (i) Swami Vivekananda’s educational vision education for character building in the youth (ii) Yoga-Vedanta vis-à-vis modern science, (iii) Ramakrishna-Vivekananda thought in the context of present day challenges, (iv) Consciousness Studies as taught in the Upanishads, (v) Synthesis of the four yogas as taught by Swami Vivekananda and Bhagavad-Gita, and (vi) Harmony of religions as lived and taught by Sri Ramakrishna.
He has a good number of publications on the above subjects in the journals of Ramakrishna Order and of various organizations. He is widely travelled and has gone to almost all parts of the globe (USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, South Africa, Japan, Australia, Morocco, Ukraine, almost all the States of India) to participate as a resource person on invitation in various seminars, colloquia, symposia,
conferences, etc., having a bearing on the subjects of his interest as mentioned. He is also involved as a Council member or invited participant of a large number of global organizations working for peace and harmony, interfaith dialogue and interreligious understanding, comparative mysticism and spirituality, holistic welfare of children across the globe, etc.

Dr. Kapil Kapoor

A widely-respected academic, Mr. Kapoor taught for decades at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) as a professor at the Centre for Linguistic and English Studies till 2005. He was concurrently professor at the Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies at JNU, which is now the School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies.
He is at present Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya at Wardha.
“He made an epistemological cut in English Studies as the pioneer in India in introducing key texts of Indian thought in English Studies as far back as the 1970s, thus reversing the theory-text study hierarchy in English Studies that leaned towards western texts and ideas,” said Dhananjay Singh, a professor at JNU.
He is also known for his command on western linguists like Noam Chomsky, says a former student.
“He is equally well-versed in three subjects: English Literature, Linguistics and Sanskrit,” the student added. “He co-edited an anthology on Indo-Irish writings, of which Seamus Mac Mathuna was the editor. The book brought together key texts and writings from India and Ireland from the ancient times to the 20th century that responded to each other’s culture, history and traditions.”
Prof. Kapoor also edited a two-volume book on Indian Knowledge Systems, which is considered a pioneering work in bringing Indian knowledge in focus.

Dr. Pramod Pathak, senior most Professor, Department of Management Studies, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is an academic, researcher, trainer and consultant with over three decades of experience. He has headed the department for long and has been the Associated Dean- Infrastructure Development, IIT (ISM), Dhanbad. He has completed Consultancy Assignments for organizations like World Bank, Ministry of Coal (GOI), Ministry of Labour (GOI), Ministry of Youth Affairs (GOI), Government of Jharkhand, Indian Oil Corporation, Power Grid Corporation of India, Coal India Ltd, Orissa State Pollution Control Board, and several other leading Public and Private sector Undertakings in India. He has also conducted National and International workshops for organizations such as National e-governance Program, Partners – In - Change (the Indian arm of Oxfam). He has produced over 22 PhDs and several scholars are pursuing PhD under his guidance. He is on the editorial board and reviewer panel of several leading Management and Social science journals. His research publications include over hundred national, international papers and several books. A widely read Columnist and Public Speaker, his writings on Spirituality, Values, Ethics and Well Being are published in leading National English and Hindi dailies and periodicals. He regularly contributes a weekly column on spirituality in national daily The Pioneer. A literary critic and a commentator, he has written for Prabuddha Bharat, Canadian Hindu Link, World Focus, Employment News, Labour Law Reporter as a commissioned writer. His seminars on spirituality, values and ethics are widely attended. He has several books and edited volumes to his credit. A seasoned academic, Dr. Pathak is member of various professional bodies and is the President of the Local Management Association affiliated to AIMA Delhi as well as the Vice Chairman of NIPM, Dhanbad. He is the Chancellor’s nominee in the Academic and Planning Board of National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi, a Premier Law School of India, Member Higher Education Board, Government of Jharkhand. He is an invited speaker giving lectures on Values Ethics & Spirituality and a scholar of Indian Ethos. He was recently invited by the Government of Fiji to deliver a lecture to the world Ramayana Conference on the topic Managerial Implications of Ramayana. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar is one of the most acclaimed scientist and IT leader of India. He is best known as the architect of India's first supercomputer and as the founder Executive Director of C-DAC, India's national initiative in supercomputing. He is credited with the creation of several national institutions, notably amongst them being C-DAC, ER&DC, IIITM-K, I2IT, ETH Research Lab, MKCL and India International Multiversity.
He has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Committee to Cabinet of Govt. of India, Governing Council Member of CSIR, India and eGovernance Committee, Chairman of Governments of Maharashtra and Goa.
A Fellow of IEEE, ACM, CSI,INAE and leading scientific, engineering and professional societies of India, he has been honored with Padmashri, Padma Bhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan awards.
