Professor Alex Hankey
PhD DSc.
Biographical Stretch
Since 2020, Dr Alex Hankey has served as Professor of Biology at MIT World Peace University in Pune, India. Previously, from 2011 to 2019, he was Distinguished Professor of Yoga & Physical Science at Swami Vivekananda Anusandhana Samsthana, where he worked from 2007. Despite not doing research from 1975 to 2000, he has been on Stanford’s 2% list of top researchers, 2020 & 2021. Publications: 125 articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, 5 book chapters, 1 book, and a poetry booklet, with 2,128 citations and h-index, 24.
Education: Dr Hankey was made a Senior Scholar of Rugby School in 1964, winning a Prize Scholarship to Trinity College, University of Cambridge soon after his 17th birthday. Matriculating in 1965 after research at Sweden’s Karolinska Institute, he gained three 1st in Natural Sciences, Part II in Theoretical Physics. In 1968, he won a Trinity College Physics Essay Prize, afterwards returning to the Karolinska and publishing his first research paper.
In September 1968, he joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology on an English Speaking Union Studentship, being awarded a Greenlaw Fellowship, in 1969 to complete his PhD. His research advisers were Nobel laureate Steven Weinberg in elementary particle physics and quantum field theory, and Professor H.E. Stanley in critical phenomena. 9 journal articles resulted, and three in conference proceedings.
Career: Dr Hankey held a Lindemann Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Stanford, 1972-73, then becoming a founding faculty member of Maharishi International University as Assistant Professor of Physics, working in that capacity, 1973-1978. He was also Professor of Physics, Maharishi European Research University, Switzerland, 1975-1980, and Co-Director, MERU Science Laboratories, UK, 1979-80. He was a founding member of the Maharishi European Siddhaland in 1981, and lectured on Maharishi’s Vedic Science in the UK for the next two decades, beginning his research on Ayurveda in 1992. This brought invitations from the Dept of Health Sciences, University of Pune, in 2006, and Manipal Universal Learning in 2007.
In September, 2007, he joined Swami Vivekananda Anusandhana Samsthana, the Yoga University, where he supervised Masters and PhD students. His discovered the so-called ‘Hankey Effect’ in 2013, and published his theory of consciousness in 2014. He helped found the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine, JAIM, in 2009. Current research concerns information theories; integrative biology; theories of health and AYUSH systems of medicine; Jyotisha astrology effects on micro-organisms; also, Yoga Siddhis and spiritual enlightenment.

Sanskrit Scholar & Founder Sharada Dyan Peetham
Pandit Vasant Anant Gadgil is a veteran sanskrit scholar.He has devoted his whole life for the promotion of sanskrit language and literature n surprising to know at current age of 90, he is still persistent in his work.
His life is full of adventures. His native place is Kolhapur but after primary education, he went to karachi pakistan for secondary edu and completed it over there. Then after returning, completed graduation in sanskrit from Tilak maharashtra vidyapeeth Pune and started working as sanskrit teacher.
At the time of reconstruction of shri somnath temple, he decided to devote his whole life for promotion of sanskrit .
He is a founder of many reputed organisations like sharada gyan peetham,sharada gaurav granth mala etc n closely associated with Shringeri peetham.
He is also famous in the field of journalism, travelled across India for it n worked for Dainik Sakal,Tarun bharat, Loksatta,lokmat,Ma Ta.
He has associated with great personalities throughout the ages like Dr Rajendra prasad, V V giri, Yashwantrao Chavan, Balasaheb Thakre,Dalai Lama,Dr Vijay Bhatkar n Our beloved PM Modi too.
PM Modi has felicitated him for his extraordinary contribution in the field of Sanskrit.

Lari Azad
Lari Azad is an Indian historian of medieval India. He is well known for his contribution to medieval Indian history and historiography. He has authored a number of books, including Religion and Politics in India during the Seventeenth Century.
Mohammad Akram Lari, (popularly known as Lari Azad), born in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, India, is among the best-known authors and poets in Hindi literature. He is also the founder of All India Poetess Conference. He wrote under the pen name "Lari Azad". His style is considered easy to understand, but has also been compared with high quality Hindi literature. Besides writing, he earns his living by teaching History in the historic NREC PG College, Khurja. He attained a unique position as a writer who wrote with equal facility in both Hindi and Urdu

Dr.S.N. Pathan has a unique combination of an excellent academic career coupled with outstanding achievements in academic and administration. He started his career as a Lecturer & Head, Department of Botany at Padmashri Vikhe Patil College, Pravaranagar. Later on, he served as Principal in Pune for about five years. He then joined as Principal of esteemed Government Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai with Additional charge as Director, Government Sydenham Institute of Management, Research & Entrepreneurship Education, Mumbai. He was subsequently elevated to the prestigious position of Director of Higher Education, Maharashtra state in 1999 till 13th July 2005.
As Director of Higher education, Maharashtra he Steered Higher Education Policies of State and maintained high academic excellence in the State. He encouraged over 1000 colleges to undergo the process of assessment & accreditation by NAAC, thereby bringing Maharashtra to the top in terms of the number of accredited institution in India. He also held additional charge as Vice-Chancellor (Status) of Deccan college, Pune, Post-graduate and Research Institute, Deemed University for 3 years. His knowledge, understanding, vision and administrative acumen in higher education gave him due recognition when he was appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University on 14th July, 2005 by his Excellency the Chancellor & Governor of Maharashtra .
for the first time in the history of Maharashtra, Dr. Pathan has the privilege of being the Vice-Chancellor from Muslim community (minority) in the 84-year old prestigious University located at Nagpur.
Born on 1st May 1948 in a remote village in Ahmednagar District of Maharashtra Dr. Pathan completed his primary and secondary education locally and later went on to do his graduation and post-graduation in Botany at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. through Earn and Learn Scheme. He obtained Ph.D degree in Eco-Physiology in 1983 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. His Achievements and excellence in the subject paved way to become Chairman of Board of Studies in Botany in University of Pune during 1984-47
Shri Antardvipa Das

He was born and brought up in Delhi. He did his B. Tech (Honors) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering and M. Tech in Automation and Computer Vision from IIT, Kharagpur. He was among the first 5 in his batch all throughout.
Later, he worked with Nvidia Graphics – the world’s top-ranking company for manufacturing high-end graphic processors. He even filed a patent in his short 1 ½ year service in the company.
He had a deep search for the fundamental truths of life. In year 2001, during his college days, he got to read the books written by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Founder Acharya of the ISKCON movement). He got all his spiritual questions answered perfectly all based on the great science of The Bhagavad Gita.
Ever since then, he has been sharing this message with the youth of India.
In year 2008, understanding the dire need for the entire world to receive and apply this message, he dedicated his life at ISKCON Pune as a full-time celibate monk.
Now, he serves as the Chairman for VOICE (Vedic Oasis for Inspiration, Culture and Education). VOICE is the Youth Welfare Wing of ISKCON Pune. Over the last 25 years, VOICE has touched the lives of lakhs of youth and has 2000+ core members around the world.
He has given many seminars for youths at several premiere institutes across India like the IITs and NITs. He also personally guides youth to lead a balanced God-conscious lifestyle and become a wholesome leader for the society.
In 2016, on ISKCON’s golden jubilee, he organized “Drishti” festival – a youth event attended by around 20000 youth all over Pune. On the occasion of VOICE’s silver jubilee, he organized “Inspiro” festival – attended online by 30000+ youth.
He developed a website and VOICE syllabus booklet to help preachers across the world reach out to the youth with the divine message of Bhagavad Gita.
He is part of IIYC (ISKCON India Youth Council) - Core Committee, an ISKCON body to spearheads the youth welfare activities all across India. He also personally visits several ISKCON temples all over India to support the devotee care and youth preaching efforts there.
